If you are setting up your White Label domain for the first time, here are steps to get you through the process.
We will first need to point your wildcard subdomain to our IP, and second we will need to set up transactional emails by verifying your email address with our sender.
Your Domain to our IP
- Making changes to DNS Records, first login to your domain manager and click to manage your DNS records.
- Now, click to Add a new “A record”. In the first box you will add the * (asterisks) and then have it point to our IP which is 18.104.22.168
- Remember, your marketing page can and should point to a different IP where you are hosting your website. We will host the application at app.yourdomain.com and the booking pages at partners.yourdomain.com. So you just need to make sure the *.yourdomain.com is pointing at our IP so that all newly generated subdomain booking pages will be sent to our IP.
- It should look like this:
Email Verification (Forward email + SPF + DKIM settings)
You will receive an email from mandrill to verify your email address, please forward this to us.
Next, you will be adding two text records to verify your email DKIM and SPF.
We will have to send you specific records, but here are the steps to follow once you have the records:
Create a text record, the domain should be in the first field. Pointing to should be our SPF record. It will look like this when complete
Next you will create another text record for your DKIM record.
In the first field you will add mandrill._domainkey
In the points to field you will add the code we sent you. It should look like this when complete.
Once these steps are complete, we will be able to send transactional emails (confirmations, reminders) from your domain’s email address.
You can test your IP settings by going to app.yourdomain.com
Next, we will need to verify SSL. We will touch bases with your team to accomplish this.
