Categories are used to organize appointment types and provide a way to segment traffic to your booking site.
With this feature you can easily set up an automated, skills-based or location-based appointment system for your business or organization. Or use this feature as a brick & mortar business to allow visitors to choose their preferred locations, create separate channels for internal departments such as sales, marketing, customer support, the list goes on...
Keep things simple and use the pre-configured categories (Quick Call & Meeting), or edit/delete these categories and create your own to align with your brand and business needs.
Pro Tip: Use the 'Hide From Booking Page' option to hide categories while you're testing or working on adding new services to your site.
To add a new category:
- Click on the Gear Icon, then 'Settings'
- Choose 'Appointment Types' on the left
- Click on '+ Add A Category'
- Customize the category name, add an optional description, and redirect website
- Click the 'Save' button.
Each category has a unique link that includes only the appointment types under it, so you can send customers to the exact appointment you want them to book.
